This week's quiz: On 28September, I asked you a question about Greta Thunberg, the 16-year-old environmental campaigner from Sweden. Greta Thunberg, as you know, is the spark who lit the match for youth activism on climate change around the globe.

She was in New York for the climate change march right before the UN's climate change conference on 23September, at which she delivered a fiery speech condemning the nations for not doing enough. She, along with 15 other petitioners from 12 different countries, filed a formal complaint at the UN against five countries. I asked you to tell me which five countries were targeted in that complaint - and I asked you to tell me how they did it, that is, which convention they accuse the five countries of not upholding.

The answer is: Brazil, France, Germany, Argentina, and Turkey, some of the world's biggest greenhouse-gas emitters.

Thunberg and her peers filed the complaint under the 1989 UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, which stipulates a set of inalienable rights for all children worldwide, including to life, health, and peace. The complaint alleges that accelerating climate change puts those rights at risk.

But why not the US and China, the two countries which produce the most greenhouse-gas emissions in the world? Because the US and China did not sign the section of the treaty that allows children to seek justice for potential violations, and the five countries noted did.

The winners are: Mehran Khan Laghari from Sindh, Pakistan; Waheed Nobi from Rangpur, Bangladesh; Alomgir Hossen, a member of the Shetu RFI Listeners Club from Naogaon, Bangladesh; Nafisa Khatun, the president of the RFI Mahila Shrota Sangha Club in Hariharpara, India, and RFI Listeners Club member Samir Mukhopadhyay from Kolkat, India.

Congratulations winners!
