She said so far the Assembly has resolved that any investor who applies to establish a factory in the District would be allowed to pay only 50% of the cost involved in acquiring permits.

All these she said are geared towards encouraging investors who seek to invest in cassava processing, citrus and oil palm factories in the relatively new district.

She advised residents of the District to exercise patience because she is making frantic efforts to fix the deplorable roads in the District.

Again through the efforts of the Assembly and the Member of Parliament for Obuasi East, 1,350 Mono and Dual desks have been distributed to schools within the District.

Honorable Amissah gave updates on Government's flagship programs such as Nation Builders Corp, Planting for Food and Jobs and One Million Dollar per Constituency. She posited that the District remains a proud beneficiary of all those programs.

The former Educationist also touched on the E- block project initiates by the erstwhile Mahama Administration. She said Obuasi East was a beneficiary of one of the projects. Though the project she asserted, still remains uncompleted but their efforts to trace the contractor of the project has become yielded no positive results. The Meet the Press series is a Ministry of Information initiative which has been designed to provide the platform for the Assemblies to account for their stewardship thereby deepening decentralization.
