Man Lynched To Death In Kumasi

A 24-year-old man has been lynched to death at Anwomaso in the Oforikrom Municipality of the Ashanti region for allegedly stealing.

The deceased identified as Bismarck Sam Adjei, was found severely beaten to death Thursday morning.

Reports by Frank Frimpong, assembly for the area indicated that the deceased is a robber.

The deceased was found tied to an electricity pole with his head and manhood smashed with cement blocks and sticks found beside his remains.

The Assemblymember says he suspects the deceased had been lynched to death judging from the surroundings of the crime scene.

He added that information picked after few investigations revealed, the deceased is unknown.

He narrated that, one Nana Agyeman, in the same vicinity claimed the deceased is a relative.

According to the Assemblymember, the relative revealed that his brother is known as a robber and that he has been warned severally.

Per the brother’s narration the deceased was last three days hospitalised after he was brutally beaten by some residents in the area for stealing.

The police has conveyed the corpse to the mortuary pending further investigations.
