You are a survivor, I salute you

By Brian Kazungu
You are a survivor, I salute you
NOV 2, 2019 POEM

You have been through a lot and you have survived
You have survived broken promises and past failures
You have survived pain and rejection
You are a survivor, I salute you

You have seen dark days and you have survived them
You have survived lost chances and delays
You have survived temptation and competition
You have survived jealous and hatred

You have been told bitter words and you have survived them
You have survived treachery and deception
You have survived trickery and manipulation
You are a survivor, I salute you

You have survived character assassination
You have survived shame and ridicule
You have survived torment and embarrassment
You have survived trials and tribulation

You have met wicked people and you have survived them
You have survived backbiters and gossipers
You have survived haters and naysayers
You are a survivor, I salute you
