Member of Parliament for Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam Constituency, Hon. Caseil Ato Forson yesterday joined the family of the deceased children of Sunday’s torrential rains at Etsi- Fawomanye to sympathize with them.
The Member of Parliament as part of the visit donated an amount of Ghc5,000 to cover medical bills and for funeral arrangements of the children. Additionally, a sum of ghc5,000 for the construction of the collapsed building.
He expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family and assured them if his continuous support to the constituency.
He added that measures are being put in place to curb future occurrences.
Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr Kojo Duodu, an accomplice during the visitation said the sad event touched the heart of the MP and therefore decided to support the family and other constituents in dire need of financial assistance in the constituency.
The children met their untimely death on Sunday during the heavy downpour at Etsi- Fawomanye in the district.
The sad event claimed the lives of two children at the ages of five years and five months and the mother badly injured receiving treatment at cape coast teaching hospital.
