The Maltiti foundation, a non-governmental organization in the bid to expand its aid scheme to women in rural Ghana officially launched at the capital of the Savannah Region on Thursday, 31st October, 2019.

The foundation primarily seeks to provide welfare to women resident in deprived societies and enhance their social functioning capacity through innovative and dignifying economic opportunities, education, healthcare among several others.

The Damongo Senior High School, Ndewurajakpa Senior High School, St. Annes Girls and Girls model School all in Damongo became beneficiaries of the foundation's breast cancer screening and education today and also served as the grounds for the official launch.

The occasion was graced by the Deputy Savannah regional minister Hon. Samuel Yeyu Tika who also encouraged the students to take the health and education seriously.

The foundation is currently en route to Salaga to continue the project. In Salaga an estimated one thousand women and men will benefit from free health screening.

Other remarkable works of the foundation include the agricultural aid hub established last year for 20 women in agriculture which was increased to 50 women thus year. The foundation also saw to the successful surgery of women diagnosed with Breast cancer last year.

Speaking at the Launch, the Founder and CEO of the foundation Hajia Fawzia Karim intimated that “this is just part of the few things that the organization has been able to do but I want to let you know that more is yet to come as the organization has a lot more planned for the rural women.”

He added, "We’d beckon all stakeholders to come on board and help accelerate the vision to meet its crosshairs."
