The National Democratic Congress Western Region on Wednesday 30th October inaugurated various working committees to complement the work of the Regional Executive Committee to steer the affairs of the Party to secure power in the 2020 elections.

Addressing the gathering the Regional Secretary Mr. Joseph Nelson explained the constitutionality of the various committees and the delay in the inauguration ceremony.

He stressed the delay was due to various political activities in the region, which included the presidential and parliamentary primaries.

The Regional Chairman Nana Kojo Toku on the other hand challenged the gathering to do their maximum best to secure the very important election victory.

"We now have only 4 seats out of 17 when the region was divided, it a test case for us to win more than 10 seats in the region. We can win more than 10 seats if we do a little hard work."

Ambassador Sam Pee Yalley who is the head of the regional legal committee and a member of the national manifesto committee spoke on behalf of all the committee members to pledge his support and total dedication with respect to our bid.

The former minister of Energy and the former Regional Chairman and now member of the National Council of Elders, Hon. Dr. Frank Abu advised comrades to work diligently to rescue Ghana from the substandard leadership of the NPP administration.

In his short speech he stressed that the good will for victory is there; all we need is a little hard work and we will get there.
