From KG1 to primary 6 pupils today 30th October are not suppose to attend classes.

The directive from the Ghana Education Services (GES) is part of the Continuous Professional Development (CPD).

A release signed by Cassandra Twum Ampofo, Head of Public Relations Unit dated 29th October said, the KG1 to primary 6 pupils not attending school today is to enable the teachers have their full day of training and professional development.

According to GES, it is to improve its workforce to allow teachers to upgrade themselves with the requisite knowledge and skills in the teaching profession.

"As part of GES effort to improve its workforce,Continuous Professional Development (CPD) has been adopted into the Academic Calendar to allow teachers to upgrade themselves with the requisite knowledge and skills in the teaching profession, " the statement emphasised.
