My Empress Under The Sun

By Reindolf Amankwa
My Empress Under The Sun
Seated under the Sun
Staring at the sky
Hoping to see her come
Like rain falling from the cloud
She is most beautiful to look upon
Like Empress Elizabeth of days gone
I wish her beauty never dies
And fate keeps us tied
Under the Sun I searched
A promise I have kept
Sitting under the Sun
Waiting for her to come
O' Empress of my life
Come that I may lie
Where but by your side
Days longing for a tie
Under the sun is my wife
But unseen for she hides
O' Empress of my life
Why hiddeth from my sight
Come Empress come
To your man let's dine
Days ahead will be calm
Our union will be fine
Come Empress come.
