An exhibition devoted to promising areas of cooperation between Russia and African countries will be held on the sidelines of the Russia–Africa Economic Forum in Sochi on 23–24 October.

The exhibition will incorporate various sectors of the Russian economy – agriculture, heavy and light engineering, military and civilian equipment, and much more. The Russian Export Center is preparing a major exposition. Rosatom will present renewable energy sources. Transmashholding will show off its latest developments in passenger transport to the Forum’s guests and participants: the RA-3 two-coach rail bus, which was put into operation in late August 2019; the engine car of the Moscow-2019 train, which was built based on orders from the Moscow Metro; and compartment and non-compartment locomotive-hauled cars built on the principle of a two-car trailer. The stand will feature a virtual reality zone in which visitors can get a tour of the passenger car of the future.

The GAZ Group will present a separate cluster of automotive equipment, including samples of mobile medical stations. The Roscongress Foundation and Gazprom are organizing an innovative cluster at the exhibition – the Innovation Space.

The military-industrial complex will present an exposition as part of the unified exhibition space at the central platform of Sirius Park of Science and Art.

At the Discover Russian Cuisine (DRC) stand, participants can visit a Russian gastronomic festival and find Russian regional foodstuffs. Renowned chefs will demonstrate their skills in chef’s table and open master-class format.

The exhibition will bring together over 30 leading exhibitors in their industries, such as Russian Railways, PhosAgro, United Aircraft Corporation, and Protei, which will present solutions with the highest demand on the foreign market for mobile telecom operators and integrated security systems for the implementation of the Safe City concept, among others.

The African exhibitors will include the Republic of Djibouti, which will present modern logistics platforms designed to promote the development of Russian–African trade, Kenya, Congo and Royal Air Maroc, the national carrier of Morocco.

“The goal of the Russia–Africa Forum exhibition is to show African business promising areas of cooperation in industries that could contribute to economic development and improve living conditions on the continent: transport, agriculture, and mining. The Russian participants will be happy to share their experience and speak about the success stories that their projects have had in the international space”, Adviser to the Russian President and Executive Secretary of the Forum’s Organizing Committee Anton Kobyakov said.

The Russia–Africa Summit and Economic Forum will take place on 23–24 October in Sochi at the Sirius Park of Science and Art . The events are being organized by the Roscongress Foundation, and the co-organizers of the Russia–Africa Economic Forum are Russian Export Center and Afreximbank.
