Russian President Vladimir Putin and Egyptian President Abdelfattah el-Sisi will speak at the Russia–Africa Economic Forum’s plenary session ‘Russia and Africa: Uncovering the Potential for Cooperation’ .

The plenary session will be held on 23 October 2019. The moderator of the main event of the Russia–Africa Forum will be Irina Abramova, Director of the Institute for African Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences and a Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

“The plenary session of the Russia–Africa Economic Forum will provide a detailed discussion of potential growth points in cooperation between Russia and African countries. The fact that state leaders and prominent speakers are participating in the business programme events once again underscores the importance of enhancing cooperation in all areas and our mutual interest in a fruitful dialogue,” Adviser to the Russian President and Executive Secretary of the Forum’s Organizing Committee Anton Kobyakov said.

More than 30 business events will be held on the sidelines of the Russia–Africa Economic Forum.

The Russia–Africa Summit and Economic Forum will take place on 23–24 October in Sochi at the Sirius Park of Science and Art . The events are being organized by the Roscongress Foundation, and the co-organizers of the Russia–Africa Economic Forum are Russian Export Center and Afreximbank.
