President Akufo Addo has said the rehabilitation of the Ejura Agricultural Training College in the Ashanti Region comes as joy to him.

He said the government's commitment of development embraces the whole chain of agriculture activities: financing, mechanization and infrastructure development.

"And the most important of all is human capital development and that is what this college was established to do and that is what this process of rehabilitation will enable it to do even more effective than anything that has happened here in the past."

According to him, the modernization of Ghanaian agriculture is at the very centre of the government's planting for food and jobs policy and it's ancillary modules and that, are the major priorities of the government.

"We see it as a way of accelerating the growth of our economy, providing jobs and scaling up the development of Ghana's human materials.

Based on that, the rehabilitation and modernization of the institution is "something very very very special to me," he said.

The President's visit forms part of his three days working presidential tour in the Ashanti Region.
