Winneba, Mar.1, GNA - The qualification of the national team, the Black Stars to the World Soccer Tournament must be seen as divine intervention, the Reverend Apostle Samuel Obeng Larbi, the Founder and Spiritual Head of the Power of Christ Ministry International, has said. Rev Apostle Larbi, who made the call at a special thanksgiving service at Winneba during which special prayers were said for the nation, called on Ghanaians and Churches to pray for the peace, stability and prosperity of the nation.

Quoting the Bible, he said, "Blessed is the nation whose, God is the Lord, the people he has chosen as his own inheritance".

He called on Ghanaians to forget the past, unite and to refrain from destructive and unproductive criticisms that would demoralise the team. Apostle Larbi expressed optimism that the national team would live up to expectation and definitely shine in Germany in June 2006 if the people pray for victory and the players remain dedicated.
