The Founder and leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Mr Percival Kofi Akpaloo, has said his party will advance a multi-pronged plan to support small business and grow good-paying jobs:

According to him, the party of small business because small businesses are where national prosperity begins. Small businesses such as main Street retailers, entrepreneurs, independent contractors, and direct sellers create most of a country’s new jobs and prosperity.

“LPG in government will setup a $10.0billion Fund to provide startup capital to new graduates and all young people to start their own businesses to create jobs for themselves and others.”

Unfortunately, Mr Akpaloo said under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC) for two decades, ”our cultural and creative industries have not done enough; they have both not paid attention to invest and grow the industry, because they don’t understand the economic importance attached to the cultural and creative arts industry.’’

He said the Independent People’s Party-led government will do its best to assist industries with loans or guarantee for them to acquire the necessary equipment they need in their work.

Mr. Kofi Akpaloo therefore appealed to Ghanaians to consider the IPP as the third political force by giving them the mandate to govern the country from 2020.

This, according to the party, would also help the middle class to strengthen the rich Ghanaian identity.

He said this was the right time to invest in the rapidly evolving digital technologies and creative artists would derive benefits if they took advantage of the technology.
