The much publicized Ike Quartey's juicy bout with former Junior Middleweight Champion, Vernon Forrest has hit a snag with word that the boxer is injured and will not able to fight Ike Quartey on April 15.
CITI FM is officially informed that Kassim 'the dream' Ouma has gladly opted to step in for Forrest and box Quartey in an all-African junior middleweight showdown. HBO is interested and Officials of Ouma are only waiting for Quartey and his promoter Lou DiBella to agree. Sources close to CITI FM say Kassim is ever ready to fight the 'Bazooka' in a heartbeat if the IBF would allow it. Ike's trainer Oko Odamten has however expressed surprise at the news, saying he will contact DiBella as soon as possible to decide on the next line of action.
