Recognizing the importance of education to individuals and society at large, the chief of Nsesereso in the Dormaa District in the Brong Ahafo Region, Nana Brafo Ababio, has enrolled as a pupil in the Nsesereso Roman Catholic Primary School.

Incidentally, Nana Ababio, who has reigned for 14 years, is in Primary Four, the same class as his 14-year-old son, Yaw Obeng. Nana's 40-year-old wife, Madam Elizabeth Misaah is also a nursery teacher at the same school.

Yaw and his younger sister who is in Class Three; carry their father's books and other school materials to and from school daily.

In an interview with the Junior Graphic at Nsesereso last week, Nana Ababio, who is known in private life as Mr. Kwabena Brafo, said he decided to go to school because he wanted to learn how to read, speak and write English, having realised that his illiteracy was negatively affecting him in many respects.

He stressed that his many worries as an illiterate chief, were that people who read his personal letters always got to know of his private matters and he had also been thumb printing a number of documents without understanding it's contents.
