Minority says it will not be cajoled by threats

Accra, Feb. 20, GNA - The Minority in Parliament said on Monday it would not be cajoled by threats to rescind its decision to disengage from parliamentary proceedings pursuant to its protest against the Representation of the People's Amendment Bill (ROPAB).

A statement in Accra signed by Haruna Iddrisu; Minority Spokesman on Communications said, "We wish to reiterate our irrevocable resolve that we will not be part of a Bill/Law that will not promote harmony and order in our democratic politics".

"Accordingly, all NDC Members of Parliament are to continue to disengage from the proceedings of Parliament", the statement added. 20 Feb. 06
