Seikwa Residents Enjoy Free Health Screening

LOVINGHEARTS GC International in collaboration with the Tain District has carried out a free health screening exercise for more than 1000 residents in Seikwa and its surrounding communities in the Tain District to improve on their health.

The beneficiaries were offered free medication and educated on the importance of living a healthy lifestyles.

Addressing the people, the District Chief Executive, Madam Charity Akua Foriwaa Dwommoh said the exercise was in line with her vision of ensuring the that people within the district have access to quality healthcare irrespective of their economic background.

She noted that people in their old age become fragile to diseases hence the free health screening to know their various ailments and provide them a better treatment.

She said she would continue to organize the screening for the people in the district to ensure that residents in the district are healthy. She urged the citizenry, especially the youth aged to undergo periodic medical check –ups to know their health status to prevent them from falling ill.

Dr. Evans Aboagye, the leader of the team said the exercise was to provide free healthcare services to the people and urged them to take good care of their eating habits and cultivate the habit of visiting the hospital regularly for frequent check-ups.

Services rendered included general health checks, malaria tests, blood sugar level test, counseling and pharmaceutical services. The beneficiaries also took home packs of rice and cloths.

The beneficiaries expressed their happiness and thanked the DCE for her kind gesture and prayed for her to be successful in her endeavors.
