Two ballots were rejected out of the total votes of 809.

Sam George had told Citi News he would win over 60% of the total votes cast but that was not meant to be as his victory was only by a slim margin.

“…The ballot box will be opened, the declaration will be made and you will see how much love I have. I can assure you that we will cross the 60 percent mark. The results will be similar to the results between me and E.T Mensah and people will see it. I am not worried because The delegates love me.”

“The fact that you are the constituency chairman doesn't mean you have the gravitas to contest a sitting MP. My delegates love me and I love them,” Sam George told Citi News earlier.

The constituency, which has been tagged as one of the hot-spots had more than 100 security personnel deployed to maintain law and order.

Micheal Tetteh Kwetey also told Citi News that he was not threatened by Sam George in the polls and expressed confidence that he would win the elections.

“I am confident of winning the election. When King Faisal and Barcelona are going to play, King Faisal can say they will win. I am the Barcelona here. I am unable to give a percent but I know I am winning the election”, he said.
