Ten Division Two Clubs qualify for Sub-Middle League

Sunyani, (B/A) Feb. 15, GNA - Ten Second Division football teams in from nine zones in Brong-Ahafo Region have qualified to participate in the Regional Sub-Middle league to be held at Sunyani.

The remaining two teams to make the number for the competition would be declared after the outcome of a protest lodged by Asuo-Pru Football Club against Sampa Frontiers in Zone Three.

A statement issued by the Regional branch of the Ghana Football Association in Sunyani signed by the Secretary, Mr Kwabena Munufie copied to the GNA Sports, said that the qualified teams had the nod to take part in the next stage of the league competition at the end of the elimination series.

The elimination series started in the latter part of last year and ended on January 29, this year with 62 clubs participating. The qualified zonal teams, made up of champions and runners-up, are Sunyani Panest F/C and Chiraa Adasuokor F/C for Zone One, Berekum Berlin F/C and Berekum Samereka, representing Zone Two and Dormaa Dream Academy and Ateisikrom Islamic Stars for Zone 4A.

Debiso Royal Stars and Yawmatwa Great Santos qualified in Zone 4 B, Wenchi Heroes and Techiman Holy Stars for Zone 5, Nkwaeso Nananom and Techiman Roving Rovers in Zone 6, Bechem United and Duayaw-Nkwanta Tano Ajax qualified from Zone 7, Goaso Nananom and Goaso Multi-Choice represent Zone 8, Kejeji Nkomu Stars and Kejeji Jinata F/C (Zone 9A) and Nkoranza Okatakyie and Kintampo Young Destroyers qualified from Zone 9B. 15 Feb 06
