The NDC's Director of Elections, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah says all arrangements are in place for an incident-free election.
The primaries have been suspended in some five constituencies including Asawase and Ellembelle, whilst the party is yet to open nominations in 74 constituencies.
It will hold the polls in 157 constituencies. In 39 constituencies, incumbent MPs and other aspirants are going unopposed.
“We have deployed ballot papers to all the regions under security guards and when the papers arrive in the regions, they are escorted to the regional and district election offices and they are checked and subsequently to the police armory where they are kept until Saturday. We are done with all the registers, we did an exhibition of the registers for the first time and after the exhibition, anybody who had issues came and they went on with either a change of name or corrections.”
