The new curriculum is made up of subjects such as History, Creative Art, Physical Education, Our World Our People, Science, Mathematics, computing, Ghanaian Language, English Language and Religious and Moral Education.

Addressing the participants at the opening of the seminar, the Municipal Chief Executive for Aowin, Mr. Samuel Adu-Gyamfi said our educational system in Ghana has been undergoing engineering from time to time to meet international standards.

"The changes will continue as the country is developing", he added.

The MCE advised the participants to embrace the new curriculum and share the knowledge they would be acquiring to their colleague teachers and impact into the pupils they would be teaching when the academic year begins come September.

Mr. Adu-Gyamfi absorbed the cost of certificate which is over 7,500 Ghana cedis that will be issued to the participants at the end of the seminar.

The Municipal Director of Education for Aowin, Mr. Sebastian Diaw said the new curriculum was moving from objective to standard based curriculum and is structured into strands, sub-strands, content strands, indicators and exemplars.
