… For establishment of Orphanage, Widows & Disabled Funds. THE GENERAL Overseer of International Pure Fire Chapel, (IPFC)Prophet Meshech Aboh, has called on the government to institute tithes on the national income to assit the orphanage, widows, and physically challenged in the country.

The fund which is to be known as Nation's Tithes for Orphans, Disabled and Widows should also be used to support retired Ghanaians who have genuinely offered dedicated service to the nation but were now finding life unbearable.

According to Prophet Aboh, successive government otherwise Ghana as a nation has no serious policy for orphans, widows and disabled and over the years they have been left to struggle for survival.

“The cry of orphans in particular is very serious before God but over the years the nation has not come out with a defined policy to help the orphans except individuals who have taken upon themselves to support them,” he told THE SUN.

Speaking to THE SUN at the Church's headquarters at Ablekuma Olebu, Prophet Aboh said he was sure that if Ghana was able to pay 10% as tithes on it national income, the nation would never go borrowing again. “This is because God would open the windows of blessings upon the country in abandunce,” he assured. “If it is admissible that it is God who establishes kingdom, we must put God to test about his word and see how things would work together for the good of our country,” he said.

Prophet Aboh was of the view that even though he did recall any country where tithes were paid on its income but he was more convinced that since God was not a liar, if Ghana decide to practice such a policy the nation would be beneficial at long last. According to the Pure Fire Overseer, God in his own wisdom has Ghana as refugee among its neighbours and therefore appealed to the authorities set aside at least one day in every year for prayers and intercession for the nation to realize its dream.

“The Lord has something good and especial for Ghana and as a result Christians who are known as the light of the world must do everything possible for the fulfillment of God's plans in the country", he said. “Christians must live above reproach since we are known as the light of the world,” he added. Prophet Aboh said he believed to some level that a section of the 'so-called' Christians have failed the nation because of their questionable lifestyle. However he said no genuine believer could be blamed for any wrong doing in the system. Prophet Aboh who has commenced 72 days prayer and fasting for the nation's aid said in every generation God provides his own refugee place for mankind and Ghana is one the countries that the Lord has preserved for his own plans.

He therefore urged Christians to live a life wealthy of emulation and desist from any act that would bring the name of the Lord into disrepute.

Prophet Aboh said God has a lot of good things for the nation and therefore charged the leadership and Ghanaians to pave way for the Lord to direct the affairs of the nation.

“No human wisdom can move this country forward except we allow the Lord to build the nation for vain isthe efforts of man,: he said.
