A Tema West Parliamentary Aspirant, Dr. Raphael Kwasi Sarpong Tufuor, vying on the ticket of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has donated treated mosquito nets to victims of kiosk estate off the Accra Tema motorway close to the Coca Cola roundabout.

The victims, mostly had their structures demolished by the Tema West Municipal Assembly over a month ago.

Displaced families who can not find alternative accommodation still sleep in the open with little or no protection from the weather and dangers of the night.

Dr. Tufuor was touched by the deplorable condition the victims were coping with hence the donation of the mosquito nets to the affected families.

During the presentation, Dr. Tufuor decried the inhuman nature the exercise was carried out.

"As a medical doctor, I was saddened when I got to know that families especially children and pregnant mothers are at the mercy of Weather and dangers associated with it.

This should not happen to the people he added.

He said every Ghanian should have a right to decent accommodation and it is incumbent of the government of the day to ensure that affordable housing units are provided for the poor.

"But, unfortunately, the NPP government is neglecting and breaching its social contract to the people of Ghana.

Dr. Tufuor who is contesting the Tema west NDC primaries called for the rejection of the Nana Addo and the NPP government come 2020 when Ghanaian go to the pools.
