Interdict Key Staff of MiDA to ensure unbiased investigation into PDS Scandal

Immediate past Communication Minister under the erstwhile National Democratic Congress administration Dr Edward Omane Boamah has called for the immediate interdiction of key staff of Millennium Development Authority to ensure a genuine investigation into the scandals of the ECG-PDS transaction.

This he indicates has become necessary because some high profile figures at the Millennium Development Authority have mounted unsubstantiated defence for the transfer of the Electricity Company of Ghana to Power Distribution Services which has become an albatross on the government's neck after the American called for a forensic investigation into the scandal that has rocked the transaction.

Dr. Edward Omane Boamah stated that he is surprised MiDA is still defending the obviously fraudulent deal that has generated the anger of many well-meaning Ghanaians because of its scandalous degree.

Meanwhile, head of policy think tank African Centre for Energy Policy, Benjamin Boakye has said that MiDA failed to select an a company with an unquestionable credibility to raise funds and manage electricity in the country.

Many Ghanaians believe that MiDA did a poor job after been paid a whooping 40million Dollars for the entire process.

Dr Omane Boamah asked for the reasons underlining Energy Minister Hon Peter Amewu's declaration of the deal as fraudulent.
