The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana, Mrs. Jean Claude Mensa has directed the resumption of replacement of lost ID cards.

The exercise is due to take place in all district offices of the EC nationwide and eligible voters who lost their Voter ID cards are the ones required to make use of this exercise.

The exercise was suspended earlier so as to enable the Commission to concentrate on the recently ended 2019 Limited Voters Registration Exercise as stated in the document signed by Mrs. Mensah and released today.

A replacement fee of GHS 5.00 is required to be paid before the card is issued and this said amount is to be paid into the Commission's GCB accounts nationwide.
