Letter to GFA

Once again, the GFA is showing Ghanaian fans that they are incompetent to say the least.

Case in point, Laryea Kingston's ban. Apparently, no GFA member is familiar with CAF regulations hence the delay in protesting the ridiculous 4-match ban. I suggest they start reading the CAF regulations and all fine print because this cannot be the end of the issue.

Now is the time for our government to act. This is a serious matter and the GFA will need all the political leverage it can get to reduce this exaggerated ban. Where are the politicians who have repeatedly poked their noses into the affairs of the GFA when they were clearly overstepping their boundaries? This is the time they should be flexing their political muscles.

We must use all resources available. Our great international soccer ambassadors like Abedi should be called on to help put some pressure on CAF, and to lobby FIFA to at least schedule a hearing to arbitrate the matter.

This is utter nonsense from CAF and a disgrace to our officials who should have known better.

In my opinion, if we take this matter seriously, we will be able to commute the ban to a 2-match suspension or even better to the time served already (one-match ban).

Kingston should also write a letter to CAF and FIFA expressing some remorse and appologizing for his foolish acting gig.

Overall, I think our soccer is maturing from all these mishaps we have seen in the past month or so. I hope we are LEARNING our lessons!
