Yeji (B/A) Feb. 2, GNA - Alhaji Ibrahim Ahmed Abass, Brong Ahafo Regional Coordinator of Nasara Club of New Patriotic Party, has charged the party's youth in Atebubu and Pru Districts in the region to eschew internal conflicts and help wrest the parliamentary seats in the two areas from the National Democratic Congress in the 2008 elections.
"Under no circumstances should the rank and file allow internal wrangling to exist within the party", saying the NPP lost most parliamentary seats to the NDC as a result of pertinent problems within the ranks of members.
Alhaji Abass made the call when he addressed the NPP youth at separate meetings at Atebubu and Yeji, aimed at resolving the impasse among the youth.
He urged the youth not to rest on their oars but to continue to support the party "since there is much to be done in preparing to create
the grounds for a convincing win for the NPP in the next general polls. The Regional Coordinator said the significant role played by Nasara in the NPP needed special commendation and urged them to team up with the executive members of the Club.
Alhaji Abass asked them to avoid mischief and help eliminate all internal problems "since the NDC has not thrown in the towel in their quest to wrest power from the NPP in 2008". He lauded the introduction of the National Health Insurance Scheme and the capitation grant scheme by the government, saying it had brought great relief to the ordinary citizen.
The regional co-ordinator advised the people to register with the scheme and enroll their children in schools to derive the maximum benefits of the capitation scheme.
Mr. T. Osman, Regional Secretary of the Club, entreated the Chief Executives of Atebubu, Pru, Sene and Ejura-Sekyeredumase Districts to judiciously use the poverty alleviation fund allocated to them. He appealed to the people who had acquired government loans through the District Assemblies to repay them so that others could also benefit.
