Integrated into Dutch society for decades and familiar with issues about welfare, education, and health, concerning newcomers or minorities, in the year 1988, a group of Dutch-Ghanaian citizens, took the challenge to foster the integration of Ghanaians into Dutch society.
The non-profit organization known as ‘The Sikaman Foundation,’ after registering at the Amsterdam chamber of commerce, continued their assistance by exchanging information between the Dutch governmental institutions and the Ghanaian community while promoting their welfare in The Netherlands.

Personally, it was through the Sikaman Foundation, I had the initial knowledge about the computer, to be an expert in website building today.
While at the office of Sikaman Foundation, contributing to the writing of a news magazine for the Ghanaian community, with a Ghanaian photo-journalist, Kuntu Jackson-Amankwaa, we had the opportunity to meet many high - Ghanaians officials from all walks of life, including, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, the former UN Secretary, Kofi Annan, Mr. P. V. Obeng, the Managing-Director and Editor of the Daily Graphic, Mr. Kofi Badu and Elvis Aryeh, etc.
Mrs. Adu Ampoma engaged in conversation with the former Editor of the Daily Graphic, Mr. Elvis Aryeh, and the Managing-Director, Mr. Kofi Badu
Other high profile Ghanaians who came to the Sikaman Foundation were, Mr. Cameron Duodu, the former journalist and author, former Ghana's ambassador to Germany, Her Excellency Akua Sena Dansoa.
"With a commitment to initiatives that serve the interest of the migrant community in The Netherlands, Sikaman has evolved over the years as a community-based organization with a broad network within the African community nationwide," writes the administration.

The Sikaman Foundation also owns Radio Akasanoma which serves as her official mouthpiece and operates on Saturdays from 07.00 –17.00 hours and 19.00 – 22.00hrs on 104.6 FM cable and 99.4 FM ether i.e. on the World FM frequency of the Amsterdam broadcasting company SALTO.
Together with the famous Ghanaian musician, Sloopy Mike Gyamfi and Mr. Morgan, I had the opportunity to read the evening news at the studio on multiple occasions.
