Wassa Akropong (W/R), Jan.30, GNA- Nana Ntim Bediako, Manager of the Wassa Amenfi East District Mutual Health Insurance Scheme, announced that so far 11, 000 people in the formal sector had registered with the scheme.
In an interview with the GNA, at the weekend at Wassa Akropong, Nana Bediako said 90 million cedis had been collected from contributors to the scheme, which was expected to take off next month.
He said even thought the district assembly did not received seed money for the scheme, it had acquired photography equipment and other logistics to facilitate the implementation of the scheme. Nana Bediako appealed to the people to register with the scheme and contribute to it, to enable them have access to good health care delivery.
