Company donates to publishing studies department of KNUST

Kumasi, Jan 22, GNA - Compuprint Company Limited, publishers of the "P and P" newspaper, has donated a 'Re-pro Camera' worth 8,000 pounds to the Publishing Studies Department of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). The donation is aimed at facilitating academic work at the department and followed a request made by Mr Ralph Nyadu-Addo, a lecturer in printmedia management at the university who was one-time the General manager of the company.

Making the presentation in Kumasi on Saturday, Mr Carl Ernest Vanderpuye, Managing Director of the company, said it had always been his wish to help academia in its training programme. He pledged to further support the department by giving room for internship to the students and also donates equipment that would enhance academic work of the department.

Mr Nyadu-Addo who received the camera on behalf of the department, commended the company for living up to expectation and gave the assurance that it would be put to good use.
