Kumasi, Jan. 19, GNA - Miss Mabel Boamah, Welfare Officer of Kumasi Children's Home, has appealed to civil societies, philanthropists and charitable organizations to assist the Home rehabilitate its leaking roofs.
She said the Home also needed a means of transport that was affecting its operations. Miss Boamah made the appeal when receiving items and cash worth three million cedis from members of the Asante-Akropong Ladies Club who visited the Home.
The items included a carton of bar soap, assorted fruits and two million cedis cash.
Miss Anna Serwaa, President of the club, commended the staff for their hard work and commitment to work under the conditions of the Home. The club made a similar donation to the Home last year.
