An Accra Circuit Tribunal has sentenced a 22-year-old musician to eight years' imprisonment for having unnatural sex with a 13-year-old boy.
Michael Kojo Adutwum pleaded guilty and was convicted on his own plea. Inspector Emmanuel T. Boison told the tribunal, chaired by Mr. Justice Charles Nyewolema, that both the accused and the victim live in the same area at Nungua and know each other. The prosecutor said in April, this year, the accused spotted the victim returning home from school and sent him to buy iced water.
When he returned, Michael lured him to send the water into his room. At this juncture, Inspector Boison said Michael gagged him with a handkerchief, stripped him naked and forcibly had anal sex with him. After the act, he threatened the victim with death if he disclosed it to his mother. But on May 24, the victim's mother got wind of the incident and confronted her son who confirmed it.
