Religion I Love Worldly Songs– Bishop Thunder
MAY 14, 2019 LISTEN

A popular Accra-based preacher, Bishop Thunder has surprisingly called on Ghanaians to support secular musicians.

Contrary to what the scripture says about how believers should act in accordance with what the Bible teaches against worldly songs, Bishop Thunder noted that he is someone who is much interested in secular music.

The outspoken man of God who was speaking in an interview with Hot 93.9FM stressed that, even though he knows some people will chastise him for supporting secular musicians in his capacity as a pastor, the secular musicians are doing so well in the Ghanaian music industry and must be supported.

“ I know people will ask why am praising worldly musicians. Are we not on earth? Some of you talk like you are in heaven,” That’s silly …these guys are doing so well so we must all support them,” he stated.

As the 20th edition of the prestigious Vodafone Ghana Music Awards draws closer, fans and artistes who have been nominated are waiting with bated breath to know their ‘fate’ on the D-Day, May 18, 2019.

One of the ‘hottest’ categories which is attracting a lot of attention is the ‘Artiste of the Year’ category which also happens to be the top-notch award.

Expressing his view on who will win the coveted artiste of the year award, the leader and founder of Jesus Pentecostal Ministry, Bishop Thunder named Shatta Wale as the artiste he wishes to win:

“I have a lot of respect for Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy and Kuami Eugene… I listen to their music a lot..Even though Stonebwoy and Kuami Eugene are very good singers, per Shatta Wale’s fanbase he will win”,Bishop Thunder revealed.
