Assembly members in the Sunyani West District of the Bono region have received Fifty-Six (56) motorbikes from Mr. Martin Obeng, the District Chief Executive (DCE).
This transport support is to help the assembly members to facilitate movements in their respective electoral areas.
The bikes also to enhance the work of the assembly members and help them to get closer to the people of their electoral areas and improve interaction.
Presenting the bikes to the assembly members, Mr. Martin Obeng advised the beneficiary assembly members to ride the bikes with care to avoid accidents and also take good care of it.
"It is the view of the NPP government to facilitate the development of the district through effective interactions with their electorates that's why these motorbikes here" he stated.
Mr. Obeng used the opportunity to urge the general public especially people in the district to pay their taxes voluntarily to avoid court actions.
He disclosed to Pulsenewsgh.com that the University of Energy and Natural Resources offering Scholarships to brilliant but needy female SHS graduates in athletics, therefore asked the assembly members to spread the information throughout the district.
Some of the assemblymen expressed gratitude to the government for the gesture and re-echoed that the motorbikes would help the beneficiaries to deliver much better and strengthen local governance structures and performance.
