ER: Police Cases Two Teenagers Over Headmaster Murder

The Eastern Regional Police Command is on a manhunt for two suspects who allegedly murdered the headmaster of Salvation Army Basic School at Asiakwa in the Eastern Region, George Somuah Bosompem.

Four other teenager suspects who are currently in Police custody were arraigned and have been remanded to reappear on the 14th of May 2019.

The Asiakwa Court presided over by Ms. Alice Efua Yirenkyi charged the four, Richard Anani, Emmanuel Mireku, Philip Okodie and Paul Boadu with conspiracy to commit murder and murder.

The late George Somuah Bosompem incurred the wrath of the 6 teenagers, between the ages of 18 and 19, after he threatened to report them to the Police, for smoking in his backyard and stealing his farm produce.

Speaking to Citi News, the Eastern Regional Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ebenezer Tetteh, said his outfit is working to ensure the other two suspects are apprehended.

“We will pursue the other two who are also on the run and get them arrested. We will do a thorough investigation and a postmortem to back our case in court.”

George Somuah Bosompem died at the St. Joseph's Hospital at Koforidua where he was rushed to after the attack.

He was initially admitted at the Kibi Hospital but later transferred to the St. Joseph's Hospital.

He left behind a wife and three children.
