The families of the three kidnapped girls in Takoradi have lashed out at the founder and leader of Glorious Word and Power Ministry International, Reverend Owusu Bempah, for claiming he knows the whereabouts of the girls.

According to him, the comment made by the Owusu Bempah has caused pain to families of the kidnapped girls.

The Spokesperson for the families of the kidnapped girls, Mr. Micheal Hayford, in an interview on Accra, based Adom FM's morning show 'Dwaso Nsem', monitored by ModernGhana, accused the self-acclaimed man of God of trying to gain fame with the issue of the kidnapped girls in this sad moments.

"If Owusu Benpah truly knows the whereabouts of our girls why will he wait for a phone call from the President before he discloses their whereabouts. I would have slapped him if he had made this statement in my presence," he fumed.

This comes at the back of Rev. Owusu Bempah claim he knows where the girls have been kept and stressed only President Nana Akufo-Addo can force him to disclose their location.

“I know the whereabouts of the girls. If you dare me, just allow the President to call on me and ask me about their whereabouts and I will tell him,” Owusu Bempah claimed.

However, the families of the kidnapped girls believe Owusu Bempah's comment was just to gain fame and also to gain favours from the President.

Mr. Hayford also disclosed that the families will hold a press conference today to respond to the founder and leader of Glorious Word and Power Ministry International.
