General News Agalga Gives Sandema District Police Boost To Fight Crime

The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Builsa North Constituency, Mr James Agalga, has presented a laptop, desktop computers, a dual purpose printer, office desks and chairs to the Sandema district police command to help fight crime and maintain peace and order in the area.

The equipment which were handed over to the District Commander, Superintendent Ntoso, formed part of the MP's commitment to strengthening the security of the district and to improve upon the operations of the police service.

The donation was in response to an appeal the police command made to some stakeholders to support it with the needed logistics to combat crime in the area.

At a brief ceremony to present the logistics at Sandema last Friday, Mr Agalga who is the Ranking member on Interior and Defence Committee of Parliament said it was meant to support the police of their administrative work so they could bring policing to the doorsteps of the people.

According to him, he enjoyed much protection from the service, and it was only fair and proper to come to their aid with the needed logistics.

Receiving the equipments, the district police commander, Supt Ntoso expressed excitement about the presentation and noted that it would help run the administration effectively.

Other security agencies including the district Bureau of National Investigation ( BNI ) were full of joy and promised to put the equipment into good use.

As the election approaches, the Commander said the service needs to up its game, hence would require a lot of logistics.

He also called on the public to collaborate with them to help fight crime in society.
