The UK and Ireland Chapter of the largest opposition political party in Ghana, National Democratic Congress (NDC) has dedicated the month of May to mourn the late Madam Louisa Nelson who was the Chapter’s Women’s Organizer until her sudden demise.

Madam Louisa Nelson was described a very hardworking Women's Organizer and a commited party member who hardly missed any party activities.

The Leadership of the Chapter arrived at the decision after an emergency meeting with branch executives to deliberate on how to honour her memory and to help the family give a befitting burial to their departed colleague whose sudden demise occurred on 26th April 2019.

The conclusions of the meeting contained in a release signed by the Secretary to the UK and Ireland Chapter of the NDC, Mike Dzidula Kudiabor indicated that essential Branch and Chapter activities for the rest of the month of May, which has always been reserved as the ‘Women’s Month’ for the Women’s Wing, must be conducted in a somber mood to honour the memory of Madam Louisa Nelson and her dedication to party activities.

A seven-member Funeral Coordinating Committee was also formed to liaise with the family and to advise the Chapter leadership on how best they can support the family to give their loyal party member a befitting send-off.

The members of the Funeral Coordinating Committee were captured as the following: Mr Roger Appiah; Mr Mike D. Kudiabor; Ms Mary Gardner; Ms Gifty Agbenu; Dr Joe Agyemang; Mr Kudjoe Fiadzawu (Torgbi Adzah I); and Mr Musah Adamu.
