Build Core Values To Uphold Legal And Biblical Principles—Kwesi Danso Amoah

Private Legal Practitioner has urged lawyers to build core values that enable them to uphold legal and biblical principles.

According to the "2019 Daniel Prize Winner", applying one's conscience and upholding moral integrity are crucial to building a better Ghanaian society devoid of unacceptable value system.

The "Daniel Prize" is awarded to an active member of Law Christian Fellowship of the Ghana School of Law who has excelled in both Christianity and academia.

Speaking to Class News after "2019 Daniel Prize" ceremony organised by Kimathi and Partners Law Firm in Accra, the "Daniel Prize" recipient Lawyer Kwesi Danso Amoah said, it cannot be conflicting to be a good lawyer and staunch Christian.

He told Class News' Jerry Akornor that, "It's never conflicting to be a good Christian and a good Lawyer, it is all about building a good value system that reflects, being a Lawyer should rather make you a better Christian because you are able to read the Bible better".

Lawyer Kwesi Danso Amoah however believes the latest "Daniel Prize" will encourage him to uphold academic principles, core Christian values and that of law.

He told Class News that, "Being recognised as somebody who is able to uphold both Christian values and academic excellence, means that you are someone who is able to strike the balance which is lacking in our society, I am very grateful to God".

Present at the ceremony were Ghana Law School's Director of Legal Education Mr Kwesi Prempeh-Eck, Acting Registrar Mrs. Franklina Adanu and membership of Law Christian Fellowship of the Ghana Law School.
