Accra, Jan. 6, GNA - The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) on Friday announced marginal decreases in the prices of premium and gas oil products, which take effect from 1800 hours on Friday. The current maximum prices of premium of 7,111.11, cedis per litre now sells at 7,066.66 cedis while gas oil which sold at 6,466.67 cedis per litre now sells at 6,433.33 cedis . The old price in gallon, which was 32,000 cedis is now to sell at 31,800 cedis, while gas oil which sold at 29,100 cedis will now cost 28,950 cedis. The new maximum ex-pump price per gallon of premium is 31,800 cedis, while gas oil is 28,950 cedis. Percentage change from current prices of premium is -0.62 per cent and that of gas oil is -0.54 per cent. The announcement said ex-refinery prices of other products remained unchanged. It said in arriving at the new refinery prices of the petroleum products the NPA reviewed the price development on the world market prices of finished product imports as well as the operations of the Tema Oil Refinery.
