The former Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NDC, Emmanuel Nti Fordjour has denied resigning from the party.
Mr. Fordjour, a known Obed loyalist was reported on Thursday to have quit the NDC following the resignation of the former chairman of the party Dr. Obed Asamoah.
But speaking to JOYNEWS Mr. Fordjour said he was quoted out of contest.
He said he is still a member of the NDC.
“I have not given any resignation letter to anybody. What happened was that a media man and a friend called to tell me that my former boss, the national NDC chairman has resigned, am I aware? I told him I wasn't aware and that I haven't heard anything.
“He said well, it was all over the news so he asked me what could be the reason. So I also asked who said we have heard of it. Didn't you hear the reasons why he resigned? He just laughed and said ok he heard it on radio but he also wants me to comment. I said ok, the same reasons he gave are the same reasons I'd give”, he said.
