Ho, Jan 03, GNA - Mr Ernest Dafali, 19, a resident of Sokode-Lokoe, near Ho nearly missed the "boat" into the new year, when his elder brother Samuel Dafali allegedly inflicted multiple cutlass wounds on him over chicken meat on New Year's day.
The Ghana News Agency (GNA) chanced on Ernest Dafali, who was rushed to the Ho Municipal Hospital by a woman identified as his mother, still bleeding profusely from the wounds.
The woman, who did not give her name told nurses on duty that the assailant, Samuel Dafali appeared to have acted under the influence of alcohol and that he had earlier chased his sister out of the house before turning on Ernest.
Ernest has since been treated and discharged.
The Ho Municipal Police said the incident had not been reported to them.
