Sunyani (B/A) Jan. 01 GNA - The Reverend Patrick Adu Twum, Pastor of Sunyani branch of Word Miracle Church International at the weekend urged Christians to work harder with a renewed mind and total commitment to achieve God's plans and purposes for them in the new year. "Christians need to speak positively about their businesses, families, finances and so forth in order to make a significant impact on their lives", he added.

Preaching on the theme, "My Year of Building Up" at a New Year's Day service, Pastor Adu Twum admonished the packed to capacity worshippers to associate themselves with people who could give them the right advice during trying moments.

"Many of us are struggling in life today due to the kind of friends

we made in the past. Not all friends are right people," he said. Pastor Adu Twum called on Christians not to despise small beginnings but should rather stay committed to their fields of endeavour and believe that God would see them through.

He appealed to Christians to discard and forget the past and forge ahead as they would be doomed if they allowed the past to override their present situations.

"Failures are part of life. Never allow your past failure to grip you. Even President Kufour failed to win the 1996 Presidential election but he never gave up. He came back and fought for the 2000 election and emerged victorious," he stated.
