Kumasi, Dec 31, GNA - The Ashanti Regional Police Command has commended the media and the people in the region for their support and cooperation to the police, which has helped in crime prevention. Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Frank Adu-Poku, Ashanti Regional Police Commander, said through the cooperation and assistance from the public and the media in the form of the provision of information to the police, crime wave in the region and Kumasi, in particular had reduced, especially during the Christmas festivities. He was speaking at an end-of-year reception for police personnel in the region at the regional police headquarters in Kumasi on Friday.
ACP Adu-Poku also commended the personnel for their hard work, dedication and commitment towards crime prevention and advised them to look back at their failures and strategise to improve upon their performance in the coming years. He commended other security agencies in the region for their support and cooperation with the police to combat crime.
