The Deputy Secretary of the Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Peter Boamah Otukunor has said that the NDC will only Consider joining the Commission of Inquiry if only the commission thinks the NDC is of significance to their work.

"If the commission thinks that the NDC is useful to its work, we will consider that," he said on Accra based Citi fm.

According to him, the NDC will never be part of any scheme to cover individuals or group who perpetrate crime against innocent citizens.

Mr Otukunor added that if the commission finds the NDC useful to its work and will not engage in concealing the truth from the public, they will be willing to support the commission's work other than that they still stand by their earlier position.

"We will not be part of any charade, we will not be part of any attempts to cover up crimes and barbaric attacks on innocent citizens," he intimated.

The Commission of Inquiry has begun sitting, today Monday to unravel the cause of the violence that marred the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election.
