The Prestea Huni-Valley Municipal Assembly has been given 3 months ultimatum to come up with plans for a new District Magistrate Court.

The Chief Justice Her Ladyship Sophia Akuffo as part of her six-day tour of judicial Service facilities in the Western Region visited the dilapidated Prestea court and gave the order.

Flanged by senior staff of the judicial service, Her Ladyship Akuffo bemoaned the state of law courts in the country saying it brings the profession into disrepute.

Giving reasons for the bad state of the court, the Municipal Chief Executive for Prestea Huni-Valley Hon. Mozart Kwaku Owuh said the Assembly has plans to renovate the premise to to a better phase but the Chief Justice disapproved.

Meanwhile, the Divisional Chief of Himan, Nana Nteboah Prah IV has promised to release land as soon as possible for the commencement of a new court.
