JAN 18, 2019 LISTEN

A Private Legal Practitioner and Former Senior State Attorney, Augustine Oppong has emphatically stated that there is no evidence to initiate criminal prosecution against the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong over the murder of the undercover Journalist with the Tiger Eye PI, Ahmed Hussein-Suale.

In excerpts of the viral video, Mr Ken Agyapong who appears to be on a show on his television station, NET2 Television, displayed pictures of Ahmed, and described him as a dangerous man and told viewers that he lived in Madina.

“The boy that is very dangerous, he lives here in Madina. If you meet him anywhere slaps him and if he ever comes to these premises, I am telling you beat him! Whatever happens I will pay, because he is bad. That Ahmed! Show their pictures and let’s see! The boy, that is him, Ahmed that is him.

This one is called Ahmed! His other picture is there make it big. If he comes here beat him. This is the boy he is bad boy.” Ken Agyapong threatened on NET 2 TV.

Calls for the prosecution of the Legislature have heightened in the country after the death of a key member of Anas Aremeyaw Anas' Tiger Eye Private Investigations team, Ahmed Hussein-Suale.

But speaking in an interview monitored by thepressradio.com on Thursday, January 17, 2019, the renowned Lawyer, Augustine Obour stated that the video circulating on the social media does not hold concrete evidence that can lead to Ken Agyapong’s prosecution.

He said, there can be an evidence for the prosecution of the Assin Central MP only when the suspects involved in the perpetration is arrested and confirm with concrete evidence that they were contracted by Ken Agyapong to kill the undercover journalist.

According to the Lawyer, Ken Agyapong can be arrested in connection with the murder so as any other person can also be arrested.

“You need evidence to proceed to court but now there is no evidence to prosecute him, arresting someone is different from prosecution, as I always said everybody can be arrested but you need a concrete evidence to proceed in court” Lawyer Obour stated.

Ahmed Hussein-Suale was shot three times, twice in the chest and another in the neck late Wednesday night at Madina in Accra while driving home by unidentified men riding motorbike.

Ahmed was a member of the private investigations company Tiger Eye PI which uncovered astonishing corruption in Ghana’s sports administration.
