General News Removing RME from Basic School Syllabus is a mark of Hypocrisy - Dr. Daniel Fenyi
JAN 17, 2019 LISTEN

Counsellor and educationist, Dr. Daniel Fenyi has jab government for the proposal for the removal of Religious and Moral Education (RME) from the Basic School curriculum.

Dr. Daniel Fenyi has asserted that building a "national cathedral" for people who have no basic religious or moral training is an unintelligent initiative and pointed out that prayers from immoral mouths and hearts are inefficient.

Educationist Daniel Fenyi insinuated that morality has totally broken down in Ghana to the extent that youths indulge in sexual immoralities and even video-tape themselves and share on social media, prostitutes like Moesha Budong and Rosemond Brown feel proud to admit they sleep around for money, accountants steal, lawyers lie and doctors/nurses have no sympathy for patients.

To Counsellor, this is the time moral education needs to be emphasised and intensified but not to be scrapped from the system.

Educationist Daniel Fenyi said buiding a national cathedral for christians to pray and perform other religious activities without giving the children adequate education on moral education is a sign of hypocrisy.
