The Anglican Church has expressed appreciation to government for its policies to industrialise the country, create access to secondary education, improve agriculture production and reduce the unemployment rate in the country. However, the Church called on the government to step up the fight against corruption, lawlessness and indiscipline in the country.

This was contained in the communique issued by the Church at the end of the second synod of the Internal Province of Ghana of the Anglican Communion held at Kumasi.

The four-day synod was attended by all the Bishops of the various Anglican Dioceses in the country.

The communique called on the government to focus more on the health sector and fixed the deteriorating roads in the various parts of the country.

The Church urged the government to respect divergent constructive views and appealed to all Ghanaians to unite and support the government to succeed.
